摘要
GUIDELINE TITLE: Clinician's Guide to Prevention and Treatment of Osteoporosis. DEVELOPER: National Osteoporosis Foundation (NOF). RELEASE DATE: April 1, 2014. PRIOR VERSION: March 1, 2013. FUNDING SOURCE: National Osteoporosis Foundation. TARGET POPULATION: Postmenopausal women and men aged 50 years or older. MAJOR RECOMMENDATIONS: Bone mineral density (BMD) testing should be performed in • Women aged 65 years or older and men aged 70 years or older (with future testing interval determined by initial findings). • Postmenopausal women and men aged 50 to 69 years at high risk of osteoporosis based on the presence of risk factors (eg, endocrine disorders, malabsorption) and the World Health Organization Fracture Risk Algorithm (FRAX) model. • Postmenopausal women and men aged 50 years or older who have had any adult fracture. Vertebral imaging should be performed in • All women aged 70 years or older and all men aged 80 years or older if BMD T score is -1.0 or lower at the spine, total hip, or femoral neck. • Women aged 65 to 69 years and men aged 70 to 79 years if BMD T score is -1.5 or lower at the spine, total hip, or femoral neck. • Postmenopausal women and menaged 50 years or older with specific risk factors: low-trauma fracture during adulthood; historical height loss (current height vs peak height in young adulthood) of 1.5 in (3.8 cm) or more; prospective height loss (height loss between medical assessments) of 0.8 in (2.0cm) or more; recent or ongoing long-term glucocorticoid treatment.
