摘要
Based on the principles of perfusion bioreactor systems developed in the late 1970s, a new powerful generation of membrane-based cell culture devices especially designed for small-scale production of monoclonal antibodies entered the market over the last few years. These culture devices enable scientifically satisfactory in vitro production methods which are of moderate cost and either better than or equal to ascites production method in terms of antibody quality.
