摘要
The power density and the light power of a scalar light beam are expressed as power expansions of wavelength lambda in terms of the Fourier transform method. The zeroth-order term of the power density is just the light intensity I in the scalar field theory, and the first two terms of the power density are exactly consistent with the paraxial wave equation. Under the condition that evanescent waves are ignored, the high-order expansion terms of light power are proved to be related to the intensity-momenta of spatial frequency. Moreover, some special examples, such as the power expansion forms of the power density and the Light power of a Gaussian beam, are presented. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
