摘要
Repetitive corrugation and straightening (RCS) was used to produce nanostructured copper, free of contamination and porosity, through grain refinement. It employed bending as the deformation mode, in contrast to shear deformation in equal channel angular (ECA) pressing. Copper underwent large plastic deformation without a change in its geometry. It was pressed repeatedly to refine its grain size without reducing it to a foil or wire. The RCS method was developed to produce nanostructured metals for cost-effective large scale industrial applications.
