Microwave-assisted preparation of hierarchical mesoporous-macroporous boehmite AlOOH and γ-Al2O3

摘要
The hierarchically mesoporous-macroporous aluminum oxides with crystalline boehmite AlOOH phase were synthesized using hydrothermal treatment and microwave heating. Macro-mesostructured γ-aluminas were formed by the calcination of these boehmites at 500°C. Better quality products were produced by microwave heating in a very short time of only 30 min. The results show that the oxides prepared by microwave heating can be used for multiapplications in catalysis and separation technology.
