Pore size effect on the properties of open-cell Al-Ni foam

摘要
The effect of pore size on the mechanical behavior, energy absorption, and thermal and electrical conductivities of open-cell Al-Ni foams was investigated. The cell morphology and geometric parameters of the foam were also investigated. It was observed that by increasing the relative density of the foam, the strength, energy absorption, and electrical and thermal conductivities were increased. The results show that high porosity associated with small cell size has larger pore size and lower relative density.
