Technical tips in perforator flap harvest

Perforator flaps gained interest among microsurgeons in the last several years. They became workhorse flaps in many centers, especially for breast reconstruction and head and neck reconstruction. The anatomy of the perforating vessels and the difficult dissection of the perforators from the surrounding muscles are still distressing for some microsurgeons. This article gives some technical details to the less experienced surgeons about harvesting perforator flaps.
