摘要：

A 55-year-old woman was hospitalized for further examination of a mesenteric tumor. F-18 fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) positron emission tomographic (PET) imaging was performed before operation, which revealed hyperaccumulation. Consequently, mesenterial sarcoma was diagnosed and the tumor was removed. However, the excised specimen showed no malignant components histologically so it was diagnosed as Castlemans' lymphoma, a relatively rare disorder characterized by the benign proliferation of lymphoid tissue.
