摘要
Some of the significant technical and social challenges that need to addressed for encouraging Web for increasing social interaction, are discussed. Many information schools and informatics departments are increasingly offering courses that focus on applications on the Web. The Web is the most transformative applications in computing. It can affect communications and delivery of services across the entire industrial spectrum. It affects the nature of communication between governments and citizens. The use of the Web depends on fundamental developments in computer science (CS). Several new resources, such as an open-source software framework, which support data-intensive distributed applications on large clusters of commodity computers, make it possible for students to explore algorithms and experiment with large-scale Web-programming practices. The semantic Web also allows programmers to refer to real-world objects without understanding the related documents.
