Solid-phase microextraction with rotation of the microfiber

A technique to diminish the absorption time during solid-phase microextraction has been evaluated and tested. This method relies on rotation rather than vibration of the microfiber in order to accelerate the absorption process. It has been shown that the absorption efficiency of the rotation technique is comparable to that of the vibrational method, and the technique can also be automated.
