Laser photolysis study on mechanism and efficiency of electron transfer between fullerenes (C60 and C70) and tetraselenafulvalenes

摘要
Efficient electron-transfer reactions from three kind of tetraselenafulvalenes (TSeF's) to photoexcited triplet state of C-60 or C-70 in polar solvents have been confirmed by transient absorption spectroscopy observing the decay of C-3(60)*/C-3(70)* and rise of C-60(-.)/C-70(-.) Growth of single crystal seems to be stimulated by laser irradiation of the solution containing C-60 and bis(ethylenedithio)tetraselenafulvalene (BEDT-TSeF), in which C-60(-.) was effectively formed.
