Measurement and calculation of the Fe2O3 ablation depth

摘要
The Fe2O3 ablation depth have been measured versus the laser fluence, these measurements show that the threshold fluence for Fe2O3 ablation is 0.27 J . cm(-2). A simple analytical model of resonant photo-ablation gives a good agreement with the experiment for the threshold fluence. To evaluate the ablation depth, the Beer's law is sufficient to describe the ablation for the short pulses, but for the long pulses we have developed a thermal model to estimate the Fe2O3 ablation depth versus the laser pulse duration.
