Correction between molecular architecture and thermodynamic adhesion: Modified (maleic anhydride-co-styrene) copolymers

摘要
Molecular structure and adhesive properties modified (maleic anhydride-co-styrene) copolymers. To study the evolution of the surface properties with the modification rate, maleic anhydrid-co-styrene copolymers were prepared by controlled esterification. On account to their surface energies the surface morphology is assumed to depend on the esterification rate. The adhesive properties are markedly enhanced above a modification rate critical value: 50% esterified in the case of ethanol. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
