摘要
Vibrio vulnificus is a Gram -negative bacterium that causes an aggressive infection with high mortality, especially in patients with liver disease. Wound infections due to V. vulnificus occur via direct contamination of cutaneous tissues and can include the uterus. We report a case of V. vulnificus tubo-ovarian infection from an unusual method of acquisition in the Gulf of Mexico. (c) 2005 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
