摘要
The interaction between the natural convection adjacent to a flat heated isothermal vertical surface and a low-velocity coolant plane jet situated at and aligned with the lending edge is numerically studied, For a given Rayleigh number, there exists a narrow range of low Reynolds number in which the jet flow detaches from the surface. The heat transfer rate for the mired convection flow ill this range of Reynolds number is drastically reduced. The fundamental physical phenomena of fluid flow and convective heat transfer in this complex interaction are explained.
