摘要
The reactivity of two de novo peptide chimeras that incorporate sequences from structurally similar parent motifs is reported. The peptides comprise an EF-hand Ca-binding motif and portions of a HTH DNA-binding motif. The Eu(III)-peptide complexes catalyze hydrolysis of phosphate esters and supercoiled DNA.
