Frequency-dependent mode size in broadband Kerr-lens mode locking

摘要
Examination of the output beam size from a 10-fs Kerr-lens mode-locked Ti:sapphire laser reveals a strong spectral dependence. These results provide insight into the details of the mode-locking mechanisms and suggest reasons for the current limitations on the shortest achievable pulses. (C) 1996 Optical Society of America
