Magnetic and electric properties of La1-δMnO3

摘要
The magnetic phase diagram of La1-deltaMnO3 powdered samples has been studied as a function of delta in the low doping range (6<0.1).La0.97MnO3 has a canted magnetic structure at low temperature (theta similar or equal to 130 degrees). Above T-c=118 K, it becomes a paramagnet with a huge effective magnetic moment mu(eff)=60 mu(B), reflecting the presence of magnetoelastic polarons which are not affected by the magnetic field (up to 20 T) or the temperature 1.2T(c)<T<2.5T(c). When delta is increased to delta=0.09, the system becomes fully ferromagnetic below 170 K but remains insulating down to the lowest temperature. [S0163-1829(99)16101-0].
