A molybdenum V diphosphate with the KMoOP2O7 structure: NaMoOP2O7

摘要
A new molybdenum (V) diphosphate, NaMoOP2O7, with the KMoOP2O7 structure has been synthesized. This phase differs from KMoOP2O7 by its P2(1)2(1)2(1) space group (a = 11.387 Angstrom, b = 5.146 Angstrom, c = 10.070 Angstrom). In comparison to KMoOP2O7, the MoO6 octahedra of NaMoOP2O7 are dramatically distorted, and the P2O7 groups exhibit a staggered configuration with a different distribution of the P-O distances.
