The structure of the human glutathione synthetase gene

摘要
In this study we have isolated two overlapping cosmid clones which contain the sequence of the human glutathione synthetase gene. The size of the gene is approximate to 32 kb and it is composed of 13 exons with the intron sizes ranging from 102 bp to 6 kb. We have also shown an alignment of the amino acid sequences of all currently known eukaryotic glutathione synthetases. This alignment highlights conserved regions that may be of structural or functional significance. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ireland Ltd. All rights reserved.
