Tosylhydrazones of cyclic aminoaldehydes when exposed to aromatic and aliphatic Grignard reagents produce ring-opened acyclic unsaturated primary carbamates and carbamate alcohols in good yields. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
