The immunomodulatory effect of cucurbitacin E, extracted from Ecballium elaterium, was tested on peripheral human lymphocytes. These lymphocytes were co-cultured with cancer cells and an interesting lymphocyte-mediated cytotoxicity was observed. (c) 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
