摘要：

The role of web technologies in many database applications is discussed. The applications store information in huge databases that users access, query, and update through the Web. Database-to-Web connectivity requires a layer between HTTP and SQL that can translate between them. Deep Web search engines aim to identify, retrieve, and classify the content and work by rephrasing the query and sending it to multiple databases in real time.
