A convenient synthetic route to gold nanoparticles dispersed within mesoporous silica

摘要
A sonochemical procedure at room temperature for the preparation of gold (Au) nanoparticles loaded in mesoporous silica is described. It has been shown that the Au nanoparticles, with mean size of 3-4 nm in diameter and a fairly narrow size distribution, are dispersed uniformly within the pores of silica host.
