摘要
The product state-resolved dynamics of the photon-initiated title reaction, leading to the production of OH(X-2 Pi(3/2): v' = 0, N' = 5), has been studied using Doppler-resolved laser-induced fluorescence at a collision energy of 143 kJ mol(-1) (= 1.48 eV). The angular distribution of OH(v' = 0, N' = 5) is found to possess both forward and backward peaks, with a slight bias towards the backward hemisphere. The experiments allow precise determination of the distribution of energy released into translation and hence into the internal modes of the N-2 co-product. The OH state specific kinetic energy disposal is found to be sharply distributed about a mean fractional translational energy release f(t) similar to 0.4. The results are discussed in the light of previous experimental and theoretical work. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
