摘要：

The study examined self-evaluated and parent-evaluated quality of life (QoL) in an outpatient pediatric population as well as parental QoL. The effect of disease severity on health-related QoL was investigated. 75 families participated in an computer-assisted evaluation of their QoL using several psychometric instruments during their medical appointments. Disease severity was evaluated by the pediatrician. Moderate correlations between self-evaluated and parent-evaluated QoL indicated divergent viewpoints regarding the situation of the child. Disease severity had a significant effect on the children's self-reported quality of family relations and on emotional distress of the parents.
