摘要：

A clean compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicle was developed that emits an especially low level of carbon dioxide. This was accomplished by taking advantage of the low carbon dioxide emission level that characterizes the composition of natural gas fuel and by pursuing a further reduction of exhaust emissions. The development and performance of the CNG engine that powers a new Nissan's new 1.8-liter is presented.
