The enzymic saturation of the double bond of 4-hydroxybenzalacetone 5, of practical importance as an entry to the natural modification of raspberry ketone 6, has been studied using a variety of microorganism. (C) 1998 Published by Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
