摘要：

Evergreen Solar now has a PVMaT subcontract awarded in 1998 and titled "Continuous, Automated Manufacturing of String Ribbon Si PV Modules." A major part of this subcontract is the development of a low-cost, highly automated String Ribbon process. String Ribbon is a continuous vertical silicon ribbon method that is at the heart of Evergreen Solar's innovative approach to reach the goal of low cost PV. As Evergreen Solar sets up its new multi-megawatt factory, this development will play a major role.
