摘要
An exhaust gas treatment using dielectric barrier discharges has been developed in order to increase the energy efficiency of NO removal. The effect of electrode shape on NO removal in a barrier discharge plasma was investigated experimentally. The electrode shapes (multi-point-to-plane and plane-to-plane) were compared to provide information on the performance of the gas treatment. The experimental result shows that the multi-point-to-plane electrode is more effective than the plane-to-plane one at low energy and low operating voltage. With a flow rate of 51 min(-1),the power requirement to remove 200 ppm NO is 24 W using the multi-point-to-plane electrodes, while it is 177 W using the plane-to-plane electrode. The average power requirement for NO, removal can be reduced to similar to 20% by using multi-point-to-plane electrodes.
