摘要
The problem that simultaneously satisfies several criteria in trade-off relationship is called 'multi-objective optimization problem.' The paper proposes a multi-objective thermal power generation scheduling problem that minimizes four conflicting objectives while allocating the electricity demand among the committed generating units subject to physical and technological constraints. The operating cost, emission pollutants and security index are the objectives undertaken to be minimized simultaneously. The real and reactive power line flows are obtained with the help of generalized Z-bus distribution factors (GZBDF). The interactive process is implemented using weighted minimax formulation by regulating the weights of objectives in a systematic manner. The most preferred solution has been generated by searching for the weights of objectives exploiting simplex search technique. The proposed solution procedure circumvents the exhaustive evaluation of complete non-inferior surface needed. The applicability of the proposed method has been tested on 25-bus sample system comprising five generators. (C) 2005 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
