Neolecta, a fruit-body-producing genus of the basal ascomycetes, as shown by SSU and LSU rDNA sequences

摘要：

The basal position of the fruit-body-forming Neolecta in the ascomycete system is confirmed. The SSU rDNA sequence from N. irregularis supports the earlier published sequence of N. vitellina, for which the order Neolectales was erected. Partial sequences of LSU rDNA also confirm that Neolecta forms part of a sistergroup to other fruit-body-forming ascomycetes and the budding yeasts. Neolecta is suggested as a model organism for studies of the regulation of ascomal ontogeny and physiology.
