Effect of crystallite orientation of IrO2 rutile on the corrosion characteristics of IrO2+Ta2O5 oxide coatings

摘要
The variation in the characteristic of the crystallite orientation after corrosion by anodic electrolysis for the pure IrO2 and IrO2+Ta2O5 mixed oxides respectively was discussed. The optimization of crystallite orientation for obtaining the stable oxide coatings was proposed. The crystallite orientation of iridium oxide in the mixed oxide coatings was analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The solubilization of Ta component showed that the stability of Ir component on the non close-packed planes was higher than that on the close-packed ones in which the Ta was probably less accessible.
