摘要
High Rate / Low Latency GPS ground measurements for the GPS occultation experiment of the Challenging Minisatellite Payload (CHAMP) mission are provided by a dedicated global tracking network. The network is being established jointly by GFZ and Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) to ensure adequate ground data availability for processing of globally distributed GPS occultation events. GFZ operates a sub-network, which is currently composed of 11 stations. This paper discusses various scientific and technical issues such as network topology design, requirements for an autonomous and continuously operating GPS ground tracking station, near real time data transfer, interfaces and operational data flow.
