摘要：

The delineation of genes controlling agronomic traits is an important part of any breeding programme. Through the logical choice of parents, the bleeder is able to incorporate useful characteristics into breeding lines and approximate progeny size. In this paper we present an up-to-date list of apple genes and provide recommendations for the naming procedure. The list reports 145 genes, many of which were originally detected by breeders at East Malling.
