Low-frequency Raman scattering from glassy and supercooled liquid benzophenone

摘要
The temperature dependence of the low-frequency Raman scattering from benzophenone was determined in both directions: when cooling liquid benzophenone and when heating the glassy state in the temperature range 12-330 K with a glass transition temperature at 212 K. Comparisons of the Raman spectra with thermal properties are presented. Strong experimental evidence for the presence of a medium-range order (crystalline structure remains within several coordination spheres) in glassy and supercooled liquid benzophenone was obtained.
