摘要
The effect of laser treatment on borided low carbon steels, as a possible method to breakdown the needle structure was experimentally investigated. The lower limits of laser power necessary to breakdown the oriented case structure were identified. The advantage of laser treatment could be that the intense energy source can be used to modify the borided surface structure, without disturbing the microstructure and properties of the core.
