Nanoblends of incompatible polymers by direct space-confined polymerization

摘要
The direct space-confined polymerization of the nanoblends of incompatible monomers was presented. Suitable catalysts were sequentially supported onto the surface of mesoporous silicate. The initial stage of polyethylene (PE) formation was observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). It was found that the dual catalyst offered independent active sites during polymerization in order to generate ultimate blends of the two polymers.
