摘要
Structural frames described as having energy concentration are those in which inelastic energy absorption is limited to specified stories, with the other parts of the frame remaining elastic, It has already been shown that the seismic response of a frame with energy concentration in its first story can be easily predicted, provided the energy-absorbing stories consist of both flexible and stiff elements, The present paper derives a general method for predicting seismic response of a flexible-stiff mixed frame with energy concentration in arbitrary stories, This method applies generally to the flexible-stiff mixed frame with energy concentration, both in cases where the energy-absorbing element is a viscous damper, and in those where it is a hysteretic damper, (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd, All rights reserved.
