Determination of 129I in 131I-pharmaceuticals produced in THOR

摘要
I-131 is one of the most important radionuclides used in nuclear medicine. The accompanying isotope I-129 with insignificant activities in I-131-pharmaceuticals, produced in THOR, were determined in terms of I-129/I-131 ratio by neutron activation analysis. The detection limit of I-129 can be lowered to order of 0.1 Bq, superior to conventional radiometric methods. The I-129/I-131 ratios in the I-131-pharmaceuticals, were measured to be in the range from 3.9 to 8.3. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
