Effect of gold nanoparticles as a support for the oligomerization of L-cysteine in an aqueous solution

摘要
Oligo(L-cysteine) was prepared in the presence of gold nanoparticles as a support in aqueous media. The oligomerization products were easily isolated by simple filtration. A mild basic condition was necessary for the efficient oligomerization of amino acid. In this system, the thiolate binding of L-cysteine to gold nanoparticles was employed.
