摘要
Microreactors have an extremely large volume-to-surface ratio and the mass transfer path is minimal. That is why they provide information that would not be available otherwise. This kind of information can be crucial for the choice and the dimensions of a technical reactor. By two examples it is demonstrated that process development periods can be reduced essentially and that potentials for process improvement can be found. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd.
