Hydrogen bonding in ethyl carbamate studied by IR spectroscopy

摘要
The IR spectra of ethyl carbamate in the solid state and CCl4 solutions were studied. Force constants and electro-optical parameters of hydrogen-bonded associates were calculated. The absorption curves of the free and associated ethyl carbamate molecules were compared with experimental IR spectra. The characteristic linear and cyclic complex structures were revealed. The results obtained can be used for the analysis of the chemical and physical transformations in urethanes and polyurethanes. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
