摘要
The 2nd Annual Cancer Nanobiology Think Tank held on May 24 in Frederick was organized by the Director of the Center for Cancer Research's Nanobiology Program (CCRNP) Robert Blumenthal. The event has attracted more than 100 participants from NIH and outside NIH. The CCRNP promotes multidisciplinary research, leading to the development of tools for nanoscale, biologically based strategies in preventing, diagnose, and treat cancer, AIDS, and biodefense-related viral diseases, and works to know the structure and function of biomolecules and to help in the design of nanodevices for in vivo imaging, diagnostics, and targeted drug delivery systems. The CCRNP also served as a bridge to bring together researchers from CCR, NCI, NIH, and the local scientific community to exchange ideas and become informed about current and future projects in nanobiology. The event is consisted of 20 minute presentations, two 40 minute presentations and three brainstorming sessions.
