摘要
Although TGF beta is a potent inhibitor of proliferation, epithelia lackil for TGF beta signaling display normal tissue homeostasis. By studyir stratified epithelia, we show that tissue homeostasis is maintained with elevated apoptosis. Moreover, rectal and genital epithelia, develop spontaneous squamous cell carcinomas with age when T is associated with a reduction in apoptosis and can be accelerated mis by oncogenic mutations in Ras. We show that T beta R11 deficiency motility and integrin-FAK-Src signaling. Together, these mechanism to account for many of the characteristics of TOR11-deficient invash ig the essential receptor (T#R/4 g asymptomatic TOR//-deficient by balancing hyperproliferation /hich are naturally proliferative, 3R11 is absent. This progression n phenotypically normal epiderleads to enhanced keratinocyte 3 provide a molecular framework,e SQCCs.
