The Influence of lipase, α-galactosidase or multi-component pectinase enzymes on energy and amino acid availability in feedstuffs

摘要
Performance and balance trials were conducted to examine the effect of lipase, alpha-galactosidase and multi-component pectinase on broiler performance. It was found that lipase and alpha-galactosidase had little effect on broiler performance in fat- or soy-rich diets respectively. Improvements in energy and amino acid availability could be obtained on vegetable proteins using the multi-component pectinase. Feeding studies using diets with altered amino acid levels confirmed the hypothesis that the mode of action of the enzyme was more to improve the availability of amino acids than energy.
