摘要
The transport of mass and heat through inert liquids have been studied using statistical methods, Relations have been deduced for the self diffusion coefficient D and the coefficient of thermal conductivity lambda. These relations illustrate clearly the dependence of D and lambda on various bulk physical parameters such as pressure; volume, temperature and the internal parameter viz. intermolecular potential energy. In the present work dependence of D and lambda on temperature has been studied for argon and neon; Calculated values are in good agreement with the reported experimental data over a wide range of temperatures (0.5 T-c to 0.9 T-c).
