摘要
A generalized formulation for the evaluation of latent heat function in Enthalpy-based macroscopic models for convection-diffusion phase change processes was performed. The enthalpy was related to the liquid volume fraction of fluid in a control volume. The method for updating of latent heat of each computational cell avoided ascillations to achieve a converged solution. An algorithm was developed for updating latent heat in enthalpy based methods for more accurate macroscopic phase-change models. Consistent heat functions were obtained metallurgically for numerical simulation of any solidification process.
