摘要
The Earth-observing sensorweb developed by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Goddard Space Flight Center, provides key science data about volcanic eruptions within hours. In the sensorweb application, sensors, science event recognizers, and trackers are networked with an automated response system to form a sensorweb. Low resolution, high-coverage sensors are used to trigger observations by high-resolution instruments. The science agents encapsulate sensor and science-tracking-specific information by producing a generic XML alert for each science event tracked. The sensorweb concept also applies directly to deep-space science applications, Sun-Earth connection science and astrophysics applications.
