摘要
We have performed powder neutron diffraction experiments on the cubic Heusler alloy YbPd2Sn to determine the kind of magnetic ordering (T-N = 0.22 K) which coexists with superconductivity (T-c approximate to 2.3 K). At 30 mK we find a commensurate antiferromagnetic structure (FCC-type I, propagation vector k = [0, 0, 1]) with ordered magnetic Yb moments of 1.4(1)mu(B) oriented along a [1, 1, 1] direction.
